To access the camera from the internet, you need to configure your network router to allow incoming data traffic to the camera. This can be done by enabling the NAT-traversal feature. See NAT traversal (port mapping) for IPv4 on page 50 for more information.
The manual trigger can be used to validate actions during product installation and configuration. To configure the manual trigger, go to Setup > Events > Add Input Signal > Manual Trigger and select the desired action.
The default administrator user name is 'root'. It is permanent and cannot be deleted. The root password can be set via a standard HTTP connection or an encrypted HTTPS connection.
To upgrade the firmware, you can download the latest firmware from the Axis website and upload it to the camera through the web interface. See Upgrade the Firmware on page 58 for more information and instructions.
